Short Film Competition „Sport shorts” begins

Vilnius University Health and Sports Center (SSC) and the National Olympic Commitee of Lithuania (LTOK), in preparation of the Sport Film Festival 2018, are organizing a short film Competition „SPORT SHORTS”. The theme of this Competition is INCLUSION THROUGH SPORT.

This year's Sport Film Festival will be a message about how sport and physical activity can not only help to improve physically, stay strong and healthy, but also can be a way of solving emerging challenges, like national, religious, racial, sexual, etc. exclusion.

The purpose of this short film Competition is to promote creativity of film makers by offering a platform to present their short films on sports' theme, in this way encouraging society to learn about various sports through the visual arts.

Such Competition in the framework of the Sport Film Festival is organized for the first time, and is open for everyone to take part.

Short films will be evaluated by the Competition's Jury and the audience of the Festival. The winner teams will be awarded with monetary prizes, and their works will be shown during the Sport Film Festival on the 6-9th of December.

Registration will take place until 14th of September, and finished works must be sent till 20th of October, via e-mail sportshorts@ssc.vu.lt.
